What is the maximum dosage of amitriptyline someone can take?

I am on 150mg at night. I have read that this is the max dosage but have seen other sites that say 175mg, 200mg and if u are hospitalized then up to 300mg (is that because u are being watched by the staff?).
Not planning on taking any more, just curious on what is right. Cheers.
