hello i have been prescribed citalopram 20mg but found that 2omg was giving me even worse insomnia than before, but because my doctor thinks 10mg is too low a dose for me he has prescribed me amitriptyline antidepressant to take at night.

I am on 150mg at night. I have read that this is the max dosage but have seen other sites that say 175mg, 200mg and if u are hospitalized then up to 300mg (is that because u are being watched by the staff?).

I have had sleeping problems for 6 weeks now since I had some kind of panic attack which we thought was brought on by caffine, I have since then changed my diet and dropped caffiene, this is really driving me insane I fall a sleep fine but wake up every 90 mins and then feel like i'm about to panic. I have tried horlix, camomile tea, warm milk, lavendar hot baths, nytol, calms, night nurse when I had a cold (gave me palpitations), lavedar pillows, soothing music, zopiclone sleeping pills, amitriptyline. I dont snore or kick my legs about it, I just feels like my nerves are vibrating. What else can I try :(

I'm now on my 37 weeks of pregnancy, i request for induce but the doctor didnt allow says that its will be risky because this is my 4th child. My 1st and 2nd is normal and my 3rd child i had it induce on 37th weeks. She also says that if my celvix didnt open and yet they induse, the contraction will be fast and the baby heartbeat might not take it. Is it true? Unless i have complication on my pregnency then they will induce me. I developed alot of rashes for the past 2 weeks and she gave me medication ( chropheniramine 4mg ) but yet it didnt lessen the itch. Since the itch worsen, i sleep less and eat very less and tense to smoke alot. I've been taking ( amitriptyline hcl 10mg ) for my depression. Other depression medication ( fluoxetine 20mg, dothiepin 25mg and lorezapam ) i've stop taking when i'm 3 month pregnant. And when i ask the doctor to check, she told me my celvix now open 1cm. She gave me 1 week appoinment time to go for scanning and will induce me then. does it make any different? How long will it takes to open up till the celvix to 3cm? In advance thanks

have Sciatica and lumber degenerative disc. symptoms are getting worse. I put out a ASK last week about my MRI scan, Thankyou for your answers..In two weeks having lumbar epidural,( my second one) Physiotherapist and pain management doc told me to keep taking amitriptyline....WHY..? sleep well at night and feel more focused the next day, but in so much pain. I'm taking 40mg at moment. Taking also Tramadol and Voltarol .
Very tied today so took 3 amit...slept well for 3 hours, going to bed in a hour and going to take 4 amit....is that ok and can anyone recommend anything else as I feel a bit spacey during the day.

if so what did you do. My doctor has put me on amitriptyline. It's an antidepressant that is supposed to work for tension headaches. I have been on it for two weeks any my multiple times a day headaches have become maybe one a day sometimes none.
